This Firmware revision improves the performance of the controller by resolving a communication problem sometimes experienced during boot-up. Follow instructions below for installation. We strongly recommend that this update be performed as soon as possible to optimize the performance of your system. | |

Instructions
Determine which software version is currently installed in your controller:
- Turn on your fermentor/bioreactor
- Select the Setup button from the bottom
- Select the System Settings Tab
- View the software version
If the installed software is lower than the latest version listed above, perform the upgrade as listed below. You may want to print this page for easy access to the instructions while you work.
- Note - Some recipes may not be compatible with the system after firmware upgrades. We recommend manually recording all recipe values prior to upgrading your firmware, as well as backing them up on an external USB memory stick before performing the upgrade.
- Click the above link and save the file on your hard drive
- Choose a location on your hard-drive for the download (suggest "desktop")
- After download is complete close the dialog box
- Install a USB external memory device into the computer's USB drive connection
- Go to the Saved file on your hard drive and double click the file
- Pop up menu comes up – Select Run
- From the pop up menu - under "Unzip to folder" – click "Browse" and select USB drive (Removable Disk)
- Select Unzip button and Okay
- After download is complete select "Close" to close the dialog box
- Remove the USB external memory device from the computer and insert it into your fermentor/bioreactor USB port on the back of the unit
- On your fermentor/bioreactor, select the 'Setup' tab
- Select the 'System Settings' tab
- Select the 'Refresh' button located in the 'Software' panel
- In the 'Update Folder' list, select the file (\UPDATE_M1297-1201 Rev K) to be installed
- Select the 'Update' button and the update routine will begin
- During this update routine, a few dialog boxes (sometime error messages) will pop up – Select "Yes" to all and the unit will automatically restart a few times
- After the update is complete – you will come to the main screen
- Select "Setup" button on bottom right – this will bring you to the "Controller Set up" screen
- Confirm you have selected the correct "Operating Mode"
- 310 users – confirm you have selected the correct "Vessel Size" and "Operating Mode"
- If you own a Gas Overlay Option or 2nd DO-pH Option – confirm you have selected option
- Select "Save Changes" button - This will bring back your original loops settings and control
- Verify that the new version is running by selecting the 'Setup' button and then the 'System Settings' tab. Under "Software" confirm you have "Revision K"
- The unit will now be running with the new version that was installed on it
- The USB external memory device can be removed from the unit
