Meet the mind behind the machine.
The controller at the heart of the BioFlo 110 fermentor is a leap to a new level of user-friendliness. Its big, bright display uses plain English (or plain French, German or Spanish) to clearly show you what's going on in the vessel. Calling up a graph or changing a setpoint is just a touch away. Perfectly natural and intuitive to use, the BioFlo 110 is designed to let you concentrate on your culture.

In making it easy to use, we did not forget about capability. Growing mammalian cells? Bacteria or yeast? Alternating? No problem. One touch lets you instantly tailor control responses to suit the application. Want to add a second vessel? A third or fourth? The 32-loop BioFlo 110 Primary Control Unit supports up to four independent vessels and their loop controllers. Simultaneously. Advanced users can change P-I-D values and cascade options, choose deadband or P-I-D control - always with the knowledge that you can return to factory settings quickly and easily.

Out of the box and ready to go.
The BioFlo 110 is surprisingly easy to set up, and equally easy to expand as your needs grow. The most basic kit includes a Primary Control Unit and Power Controller to manage temperature and agitation. Additional control modules are recognized automatically - no configuration required. Of course the BioFlo 110 controller also communicates with computers. Use any one of our BioCommand® software packages to automate data collection and supervise your cultures. Or use any software with Modbus communication. You won't easily outgrow the BioFlo 110's capabilities.

We've done some ordinary things in extraordinary ways:

• Self-illuminated display provides bright text and graphics
• Removable plug at the end of the sparge ring facilitates cleaning
• O-ring at the bottom - not the top - of each port prevents contamination from reaching the vessel
• Heat blankets with two large cut-outs and a reflective white inner surface make it easy to view the culture
• Slip-on motor self-aligns with drive shaft. No pre-alignment needed
• Complete vessel assemblies include correctly-sized rotameters
• Dished-bottom vessels have no mixing dead zones, even at low agitation speeds
• pH and DO probes can be adjusted to any immersion length
• Controller changes from "Fermentation" to "Cell Culture" mode with a single touch
• Original factory settings can be easily called up
• Optional foam trap keeps exhaust filters dry and free-flowing
